Willamette River Water Treatment Plant

Created while working at Sea Reach Ltd

Series of 36” x 24” HPL panels designed for interpretive trail about the water treatment plant in Wilsonville. The design style, colors and typography were closely matched to existing signs. The new panels were created to give the visitor a closer look at the inner workings of the plant processes as well as a look behind the scenes of the buildings adjacent to the trail.

This panel is intended to simplify the processes that happen behind the walls of the water treatment plant. Creating the isometric illustrations for each step required in depth research about the processes based on photos, schematics and touring the facility. My goal was to create representations are are easy to grasp but still accurate.

When people visit the park they walk past a beautiful water display and walls that house the facility. Here and there one can gain a peak through a fence or a window. Signage along the trail give an introduction to the important water purification process that happens here. I wanted to help the visitor gain an overview of facility as a whole with steps described in greater detail on the next panel.
