At Wilsonville Arrowhead Park, we introduced a new series of interpretive panels designed to complement and enhance the existing signage styles. Each panel features vibrant, isometric, vector-based illustrations that are fun and colorful, making them especially engaging for children. One panel presents a detailed map of the park, while another showcases the water treatment process through engaging, isometric illustrations. A third panel dives into the inner workings of various treatment stations, offering an educational and visually captivating experience. Together, these panels not only inform but also inspire curiosity and learning for visitors of all ages.
This panel is intended to simplify the processes that happen behind the walls of the water treatment plant. Creating the isometric illustrations for each step required in depth research about the processes based on photos, schematics and touring the facility. My goal was to create representations are are easy to grasp but still accurate.
When people visit the park they walk past a beautiful water display and walls that house the facility. Here and there one can gain a peak through a fence or a window. Signage along the trail give an introduction to the important water purification process that happens here. I wanted to help the visitor gain an overview of facility as a whole with steps described in greater detail on the next panel.
